How long have you worked at Bulloch?
I have been with Bulloch for a little over a year now.

What do you do at Bulloch?
Engineer/Designer

What does our 25 years of experience bring to our customers?
Bulloch has been in business for over 25 years now, I believe that means a great deal. You can't stay around that long without the ability to adapt to an ever changing economy and work load. I feel our customers really benefit from this experience, it is our responsibility to our customers to help develop their products in a way that is easy and cost effective to manufacture. At the end of the day we're a manufacturing plant, but if we don't help and offer everything we have to our customers they can't stay competitive, and then we don't have work.

What are the best aspects of your job?
I think the greatest aspect of my job is being able to be creative everyday. Typically I work on projects which require in house design work; I think this really helps keep your mind fresh and thinking outside of the box.

What is the biggest or most challenging project you've worked on at Bulloch Fabricating Inc?
I can't say what has been the biggest or most challenging project I have been on, it seems as though they all have their own set of challenges. We are currently in the process of completing a project which is an automated pipe transfer system; the challenge of this project was the scale of the product to be moved around. We had to size this equipment to handle and move pipe 60' long and in excess of 6000 lbs. This project was broken out in sections throughout the whole engineering department. This also had its challenges with so many different minds working on just the mechanical aspects of this job and having it come together.

How did your background/previous work experience prepare you for your current role?
Before coming over to Bulloch I worked as an equipment designer in the automated pharmaceutical industry, I think this prepared me to be in the position I'm in now. It allowed me to understand what the end customer is asking for verses, what is easy for me to make.

What do you do when you aren’t at work?
After work I am usually working on some project I'm building at home.

What is the biggest or most challenging project you've worked on at Bulloch Fabricating Inc?
We did a large pipe loader project that was a real beast.

How did your background/previous work experience prepare you for your current role?
My previous experience comes from quality management in the manufacturing industry and a degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology from University of North Texas. Having been in QM bridges the gap in what is designed and what is feasible on the shop floor. My time at UNT developed the initial skills and knowledge needed to dive into the sheet metal industry.

What do you do when you aren’t at work?
In my off time I like to run and here recently home brewing has found it’s way to my kitchen. I have to say having 5 gallons of brew is never a bad thing. I also go see a concert every now and then. I’m not a die hard gamer but I do grab a controller often enough.
